The school wide theme for 2019-2020 is “Build Up” which is inspired by 1 Corinthians 3:10-11.

• Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:10,11 NLT).

At OCS we are partnering with Christ-centered families to build young people into disciples of Jesus Christ. We are building up students, establishing their minds, hearts, and bodies to glorify God. That’s whole-person education, as expressed in our mission statement. Our teachers have the privileged task of investing in the lives of your students for one year, before passing them on to the next teacher, who will in-turn, continue the work of building them up. The process continues year after year, until commencement, when our students walk across the stage and head out into the world. Our hope is that every student, built up in Jesus Christ and his word, will live God-centered lives and impact the world for his glory. This is a team effort between home, church, and school. It’s a formidable task, but together we can build the next generation of Jesus’ disciples.
