Academic Excellence

Our mission is whole-person education. We believe that “education of the heart” includes scholasticism as well as character and community development. We take our role as educators seriously, and we believe our academic record speaks for itself. We believe that scholarship is a commitment to lifelong learning by embracing and pursuing intellectual opportunities. Scholarship requires effort and self-discipline. Our faculty embraces the professional objective of promoting student learning. Therefore, teachers respond to the following critical questions.

  • What is it we want each student to learn?
  • How will we know when each student has learned it?
  • How will we respond when a student experiences difficulty in learning?
  • How will we enrich and extend the learning for students who are proficient?

Our scholastic excellence is defined by pursuing the right response to Truth. This means that our faculty embraces continual professional growth in order to best support the learning process. It also means that students are challenged to accept the rigorous demands of scholastic discipline—thus becoming well-equipped, lifelong-learners seeking Truth.
