Giving to Moore Families

Tomorrow is Glory Day for our 1st - 5th grade students.  This is a day of fun and celebration.  We will still carry on.  The reason we named our track and field day "Glory Day" several years back is because we desire all glory to be directed to God and not to our own talents.

I can think of nothing better to honor God on Glory Day than for us to help the people of Moore in a tangible way.  We are calling our efforts "More for Moore!"

As children make their way to the football field for Glory Day, they will be able to drop off items to help our neighbors to the south.  PreK and kindergarten students will also be invited to help in the donation.

We are partnering with Memorial Road Church of Christ.  They have a very organized disasater relief effort and are prepared to accept mass quantities of goods.

Trucks will be waiting to accept the following items:

  • water
  • non-perishable foods
  • can openers
  • easy to eat foods (granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.)
  • diapers/wipes
  • deodorant
  • toothpaste/toothbrushes
  • tissues
  • paper towels
  • new packages of socks and underwear of all sizes
  • gloves
  • tarps
  • trash bags
  • safety glasses
  • sun screen

As with any donation effort, participation is ALWAYS optional.

We will keep the people of Moore in our prayers.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.  Psalm 46:1

Prayerfully,

Donna Leadford
