OCS Trademark on Spirit Merchandise
We would like to remind everyone that the OCS name and logo are trademarked and the legal property of OCS. Use of the OCS name or logo are not permitted without the written permission of the school administration. Please keep in mind when selling merchandise that relates to OCS, it undercuts the OCS Spirit Store, which works hard to create and market products to benefit the school.

Grandparents Day Helpers Needed
Grandparents Day is right around the corner and we need your help. Please consider blessing our wonderful grandparents by giving a small amount of your time to serve them on this special day. Please click here to volunteer.

Worthy Wednesday - October 11
During chapel on Wednesday, October 11, we will hear from Project 66 and how we can help provide a Thanksgiving turkey dinner for a family in need. Items needed are: 5 lb bags of potatoes, boxes of stuffing mixes, gravy packets, canned pumpkin, canned cranberries, canned sweet potatoes, green beans and corn. Monetary gifts work great, too. We will have our collection turned in by Wednesday, October 18. Click here for more details.

Grandparents' Day - October 19
We eagerly look forward Grandparents’ Day!

  • Students should wear formal dress.
  • Students should report to class as usual, and will be tardy after 8:05 a.m.
  • Grandparents will enjoy a reception from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. in the foyer of LifeChurch.
  • The program will begin at 9:00 a.m.
  • Following the program, grandparents and grandchildren will be united to enjoy a time of classroom visits, the book fair and a photo opportunity.
  • All students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
  • Students who are not leaving with grandparents will follow their usual pick-up procedure at 11:30 a.m.
  • As you prepare for Grandparents’ Day, we want to make you aware that the UE building does not have an elevator or ramp for those needing special assistance to visit the second floor. We hope this won’t deter grandparents from coming, but we did want you to be aware of these logistics. Please make your teacher aware if you have grandparents unable to go up the stairs.
  • Please note that students who are not at school on this day will be counted absent. This day affords each student a performance opportunity related to our music class curriculum.
  • No lunch will be served this day.

After School Care
There will be no After School Care on Grandparents Day, Thursday, October 19. Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

Picture Retakes - October 25
If you would like your child to retake their school picture, please return the original pictures with your child. Those will be given to the photographer who will then retake your child’s picture.
