High School Academics

The Scripture says,

To whom much is given, much is required.

We believe that God has blessed our students with advantages and gifts in many areas. Each young person possesses certain scholarly and intellectual abilities. Therefore we offer a college-prepartory curriculum and a wide range of activities. Oklahoma Christian School strives to honor God through a strong academic program.

The courses are the framework on which we build our strong academic program. Our foundation is a Christ-centered, biblically-based program. OCS purpose is to affect lives for the Kingdom of God. Our passion is to be found faithful in all aspects of education.

OCS has a fine academic standing in our community; even in the state of Oklahoma. Our seniors have very little trouble being accepted by their college of choice. In terms of college diversity, we have had students accepted to schools such as Valpraiso, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Flagler University, Gordon College, Westmont, Azusa Pacific, Occidental, University of Southern California, Colorado Christian, Belmont, Baylor, Wheaton, just to name a few. Our students attend every major, private, and regional university in Oklahoma. We have had students graduate from all service academies except The United State Naval Academy. (And we have two seniors this year who have applied there.) We can also talk of OCS graduates who are or have attended Harvard and Harvard Law School, Fuller Seminary, OU and OSU School of Law, as well as Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Oklahoma Christian School has ten National Merits since 2003, and also ranks 7th among ALL high schools in Oklahoma in ACT average scores. Remember, this is all high schools, including 6A through C and all private schools. OCS is equipping students well to find academic success in institutions of higher learning all over the nation.
